Girls learning how to cook.
Sibford likes to think of itself as forward thinking. In the 1945 magazine it says that the ministry of education says (as though making some remarkable new discovery): 'Some of those handicrafts commonly restricted to boys—e.g., woodwork—should be equally available for girls, just as cooking should be made available for boys.' Aparently, Sibford already had this idea in 1907 when it was introduced by the headmaster J. T. Harrod. However in this photo from 1912 there are only girls's faces. Maybe the boys thought cooking was only for sissies!!
